When Laira Vineyard founder Captain Stentiford arrived in Coonawarra, the single track rail line had only recently been opened in 1887. Today in the heart of Coonawarra the old train station borders one of Brand’s Laira’s most important blocks. This Riesling is a fresh, fragrant wine showing lime citrus and green apple flavours.

Winemaker Notes
A delightful drinking experience. A fresh and vibrant nose with Tahitian lime and Jonathan apple aromas accompanied by subtle spice notes. Bright citrus and pear flavours are found through the palate supported by zesty acidity, which balances the natural sweetness of this wine.
Production
The fruit for this wine was sourced from two of our blocks. Both block components were crushed together. The wine was allowed to mature on light lees for a period of 4 months, after which time the wine was lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.
