Deeply coloured with a bright purple hue, a bouquet of blackcurrant, turkish delight and raspberry with lavender spice in the background. The palate has concentrated cassis, spice and subtle blackcurrant with lingering yet balanced sweetness.
Production run was limited to just 6000 500mL bottles.
Straw yellow in appearance, the wine has aromas of lemon peel, honey and wax with lemon sherbert and butterscotch. The palate is lucious with lovely dried apricots, lemon marmalade, toffee characters with a soft finish of lemon acidity.
This Cabernet is crafted from our oldest Cabernet planting on the Laira property. Planted by our founder Eric Brand in 1968 these wines have driven deep into the Classic Terra Rossa soils that the Coonawarra is famous for.
A deep earthy, purple-crimson colour. Lush blackcurrant and dark cherries, perfumed light florals and sweet vanillin accompanied by toasty cedar oak aromas. This wine displays flavours of rich fruit cake with elegant bloodplum and bittersweet chocolate notes. A solid oak frame supports the palate giving it length and structure. Tannins are firm but fine, adding richness to the back palate.
Brilliant pale straw. The nose has lifted melon and nectarine, balanced by toasted almonds and some charry oak in the background.The palate is full of soft white nectarine, hints of lemon citrus finishing with a crisp, dry & lingering acidity.
